Evolve Organic review Pt. I - Face Care
Today I will present an organic skincare brand to you that I discovered about half a year ago on Ecco Verde (my go to online shop for almost all my natural and organic skincare). They are called Evolve Organic Beauty. I ordered quite a few of their travel size products to be able to give them a go without having to buy a full size. This is already a win in my books, I love it when a brand offers smaller sizes without them being little tester sachets but actual products that you can use more than once (which is obviously eco friendlier too! Woohoo!) Now that almost all of my small pots and bottles are used up I thought I‘d write a review so more people can get to know this lovely brand.
I was drawn to Evolve due to their clean and simple design, eco friendly packaging and due to the fact that they are based in the UK. I love to try out smaller, less known brands because you can oftentimes discover true hidden gems. Evolve is one of them.
In this post I will focus on the skincare products that I have tried so far. In part two I will talk about body care products that I‘ve ordered from them. I will present the products, list their description and give you a review on how my experience went with them. So let‘s jump right into it!
Daily Detox Facial Wash
„A delicately foaming facial wash to detoxify and rebalance normal to combination skin. Natural sugars cleanse away impurities and organic aloe vera softens, leaving skin clean, smooth and supple. Natural Goji Berry extract and Moringa Peptides defend against pollution. Fragranced with fresh natural aloe vera fragrance.“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)
This product comes in a glass bottle. I got the 30ml one but it also exists in a bigger 100ml bottle. An eco-friendly feature that they offer is that you can order the bottles with or without a pump. So if you have already bought a bottle with a pump once you can then order a bottle without a pump. This way you only have to recycle the glass bottle and won’t have to throw out the plastic pump because you‘ll be able to reuse it.
The product itself is a clear liquidy gel with a fresh smell. It is indicated for normal to oily skin types. I have normal skin and used it during times where I noticed more impurities. You massage the product into damp skin, rub rub rub and rinse it off. The feeling it left on my skin was very pleasant, the skin felt cleansed but not stripped of all oils. I also noticed that it did help clear up my skin quickly. The only complaint I have is a bit of a silly one. Whenever you get just the tiniest bit of the product into your mouth (which did happen for me when I rinsed my face after massaging in the product) it will leave quite a bitter taste. Now I know, you are not supposed to get it into your mouth but as I am a person who has a very strong reflex to open their mouth when water touches their nose this was kinda hard for me. Take it with a grain of salt though, the product is great and I highly recommend it just maybe keep your mouth shut when using it ;)
Overall I would definitely buy this product again.
Gentle Cleansing Melt
„This luxurious cleansing balm contains nourishing organic baobab oil that soothes and hydrates. Natural sugar extracts gently combine with water to turn into a creamy milk that rinses away clean, leaving skin clean, calm and hydrated.“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)
This melt comes in a small glass jar, I got the travel sized 30ml one, it also exists in 120ml.
The consistency of this product is crazy cool and must be one of my favourites out of all the products I‘ve tested. It‘s a very thick completely clear gel that has a very soft and sweet smell. You apply it onto dry skin, distribute it all over and then emulsify it with wet fingers. This will turn the clear gel into a milky white lotion like consistency. Wow! The first time I used this I was stunned, this feature alone blew my mind as I had never seen anything like it till then. This product is recommended for normal to dry skin types, agin I am a normal skin type so I used this during times where my skin was drier and more irritated. After rinsing the melt off you will be left with baby bum soft skin and a very nurtured sensation, almost as if you had already applied some type of serum or moisturiser. This product is perfect, I love it and I absolutely love the smell too. I would recommend this to anyone who has sensitive or quickly irritated skin and in general to everyone who is sick of „my skin is too tight for my face“ sensations after washing their face.
Radiant Glow Mask
Miracle Mask
„This completely vegan lip balm is blended with organic shea and cacao butter to nourish and replenish dry lips. Beautifully fragranced with organic essential oil of orange.“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)
This product comes in a 30ml glass jar. It has a very smooth and creamy soft texture, is creamy white in the jar and transparent but glossy on the lips. This is the only product that I‘ve only had for about a week or two so I haven‘t used it quite as much. So far I find the smell and taste really lovely but find that the product itself doesn‘t seem to stay on the lips for very long. It‘s a pretty thin formula, not thick and sticky, which might actually be good news for some people. I guess I will prefer this lip balm in summer when my lips are less ragged and need less attention anyway but the taste is great and I could imagine that you could repurpose this balm and use it on other places. For example on the corners of an irritated nose (trust me I have used more than one lip balm on there in winter and they always seem to work great there). I do like this product but it‘s not as much of a must have as the above ones.
Lip Shine
So, this is it. This sums up the reviews of the Evolve Organic Beauty products that I have tried. I do want to add that you should check out their website. This brand is very transparent about their production and goals and is just all in all lovely. They provide a great deal of reads about who they are, what they do and what‘s important to them. I absolutely support brands like this as they are the future of true skincare! If you liked what you saw here than please go check them out and buy a thing or two, I am sure you will love them. And if you want to know what they have in store when it comes to body care products then stick around for part two of this review that will come out in the following week.
As always thank you so much for reading and see you soon,

Radiant Glow Mask
„This rich mask blended with raw cacao powder and clay revitalises and purifies, whilst “up-cycled” blueberry particles buff the skin to silky perfection. Natural sugar extracts turn the exfoliating mask into a creamy milk on contact with water, which rinses off easily and skin is left smooth, moisturised and calm. Fragranced with Organic Vanilla oil.“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)
GIVE ME MORE! Ugh if you could smell this... oh my goodness! This is basically chocolate spread for your face with the added exfoliating benefit. This product comes in 30ml and 60ml glass jars. It is chocolate brown and creamy with small bits of blueberry seeds. This exfoliating mask is applied evenly on the skin and then left to sit for five minutes. Wet your fingers, emulsify it up, gently scrub your skin and rinse off. This product will also turn milky when in contact with water, just like the cleansing melt. This exfoliating mask leaves the skin super soft and smooth and lovely smelling (like a chocolate bar basically, who doesn‘t love that). One thing I‘ve got to say is that the exfoliating particles might be a bit rough for people with sensitive skin. Obviously you should always be gentle with particle exfoliants but this one does seem a bit too rough for some. I personally love it so maybe you will have to test it out for yourself, the smell and the feeling of the mask on the skin and after rinsing it off is really worth it.Miracle Mask
„This delicious miracle face mask blended with 100% natural fruit acids including Glycolic Acid from Sugar Cane delivers instantly smoother plumper skin. Peruvian Maca, an ancient energy booster, helps to increase cellular renewal and skin radiance and reduces the appearance of ageing whilst Papaya acts as a natural exfoliator.
Fragranced with a gorgeously fruity natural scent.“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)
This product again comes in 30ml and 60ml glass jars. It‘s a lovely orange coloured jelly like texture, very smooth to apply and really refreshing on the skin. You apply it in a thick layer, let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse it off. It gives you a tingly sensation while it‘s on the skin. This comes from the AHAs that are included in this mask. They are acids that gently exfoliate your skin without any particles. I do love this concept that I already know from other brands and this one does live up to the expectations, it leaves you with beautifully smooth skin and a radiant glow and juicy skin. The kind of tropical smell takes you on a journey to a far away beach destination which definitely adds to the wellness effect! This is again another product by Evolve that I definitely recommend.
Lip Treat„This completely vegan lip balm is blended with organic shea and cacao butter to nourish and replenish dry lips. Beautifully fragranced with organic essential oil of orange.“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)

Lip Shine
„Add a subtle touch of sparkle and nourish parched lips with our hydrating Lip Shine in True Gold. Delicately (and naturally) fragranced with Organic Rose Otto, Vanilla and Mandarin.
Our Lip Shine can also be used as a shimmery highlighter on cheeks and collarbones!“ (Taken from the Evolve Beauty website)
This lip product comes in a small 15ml aluminium tin. It‘s a shiny golden coloured lip balm that can be used by itself or on top of a lipstick to add a bit of shimmer. It can also be used as a creamy highlighter. I have of course tried it both ways (not only in the name of science but also because I love ANYTHING that sparkles...). I love the shimmer it gives to the lips especially when you use it in summer or on a sunny day. It‘s like pure sunrays for the lips. As a highlighter I do like it on the cheeks, it adds a nice glow and looks warm and natural. I had also put it on the nose but there it just looked too oily and shiny as if my nose was dripping with fat... so no nose highlight. As an actual lip balm I like the texture of this one more than that of the Lip Treat. It is thicker and feels more nourishing to my lips. Taste wise I find this one really subtle, there isn‘t really one that‘s noticeable. You have to decide if you like that fact or not. Personally, it doesn‘t bother me. I do definitely recommend this lip shine, it‘s a fun product and cooler than a lipstick in my opinion. I just love lip balms! So, this is it.
